(8-5-19) Today, local attorney, Matthew L. Gilmore, announced his campaign for Mercer County Probate-Juvenile Court Judge. The position will be open and on the 2020 ballot because Judge Mary Pat Zitter cannot seek re-election. Gilmore stated that he is excited for the opportunity, first and foremost, to positively affect the lives of the county’s youth. Gilmore cited his past experience which makes him uniquely qualified for the position.
“In addition to my 25 years as an attorney, much of which has been spent as a guardian ad litem in the Juvenile Court, I have served on the Celina City School Board for 19 years, the Board of Directors at Wernle Youth and Family Treatment Center for 21 years, and as a youth coach.”
In addition, he is active in his church and is the past Chairman of the Mercer County Republican Party.
Gilmore is a lifelong native of Mercer County, married to Amy (Frahm) Gilmore, and they have 2 children.
