(5-28-19)At around 10pm last night a devastating tornado hit Celina entering the west side of the city (Wheatland Acres, Fairground Road and the Bruns Addition) and tearing through the community leaving widespread destruction.

Mercer County Emergency Management Agency Director Mike Robbins-
“lots of debris in the northwest part of Celina and farther east of Celina.”

Early reports that seven area residents have been injured and transported to local hospitals..

Mercer County Outlook 
I use to live in the area about ten years ago. There’s never been a tornado there when I lived there. Here recently it seems like Celina keeps getting hit. I will keep people in my thoughts and prayers. This makes my heart hurt.

I was born and raised in Celina haven’t lived there in over 30 years but have lots of family and friends there. Prayers for all. It breaks my heart to see so much destruction. May God Bless

I was born and raised in the Celina area, Willshire, and have many family members still in Celina. I have not lived there in 18 years, but do come up occasionally. My heart hurts with all of this for them.
