(5-29-19) One of the many first responders to the Memorial Day tornado that hit Celina was Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper Jonathan Coffey…who climbed through a broken window of a home damaged by the tornado and was able to help a 91-year-old woman in need of medical assistance.

According to the Ohio State Patrol, Coffey was informed by a citizen that a woman was still in her residence and was needing medical attention. Coffey was able to use his first aid kit to bandage the woman’s injuries and called for an emergency squad. Coffey  remained with the woman, keeping her calm, until the medics arrived.

It has been confirmed that an 81 year old Fairground Road resident Dale Hanna passed away after a car was hurled onto him while he was in his home and killing the man. A total of seven residents were taken to area hospitals.
