The owners of the China Wok Buffet Kang Chen (46) and Mei Zheng (45) have been bound over to Mercer County Common Pleas Court after the prosecutors asked Celina Municipal Court Judge Kathyrn Speelman for a change of venue and are now free on bond. The two are still facing felony charges of tampering with employee records by he Ohio Investigative unit who had conducted surveillance of human trafficking and tampering with records.The case will also be presented to a grand jury for possible future indictment.
(8-30-18) The owners of the China Wok Buffet located at 1401 East Market Street in Celina, Kang Chen (46) and Mei Yu Zheng (45), were arrested on Wednesday and now face felony charges of tampering with records, including human trafficking .
A complaint was filed in Celina Municipal Court on Wednesday, the Ohio Investigative Unit began an investigation that started in June of 2017, when a Vandalia police detective expressed concern over a possible human trafficking operation taking place. It was observed that groups of people of Asian decent were being dropped off at a business in Vandalia over the past several years. After conducting surveillance, it was observed that an unknown female had been picked up and was delivered to Celina, eventually the investigation revealed at least 6 additional workers at the China Wok were employed at the restaurant and had been working there according to records filed by the owners of the China Wok.
At this time both are being housed at the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility pending a local court appearance.

I beginning to think they want to put them out of business. They want them to look bad. That was the best restaurant around. They did so well with their business . The best food around.
