Greenville, Ohio — Spirit EMS is proud to announce its Summer 2026 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program in partnership with Four County Career Center, continuing its commitment to addressing the growing demand for EMS professionals across the region.

Building on the continued success of its education programs, Spirit EMS reports that its past several EMT classes have achieved a 100% first attempt pass rate on the National Registry exam, demonstrating the strength of its curriculum, instruction, and student preparation.
The Summer 2026 EMT program will run from June 22, 2026, through July 31, 2026, with classes held at 700 Riffle Road in Greenville, Ohio. The traditional in-person class will meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a structured, immersive training experience led by Crystal Horne of Four County Career Center.
To expand accessibility, Spirit EMS will also offer a hybrid EMT training option for current college students. This program allows participants to complete coursework online while attending mandatory in-person sessions every Friday for hands-on skills training and weekly written testing throughout the six-week course.
The two program tracks are designed to meet the needs of different participants while maintaining the same high standards for certification.
Students enrolled in the traditional in-person program will be paid for their attendance during the course and are required to commit to 2,080 hours of employment with Spirit EMS upon certification. This track is intended for individuals ready to enter the workforce full-time through an accelerated training pathway.
Students in the hybrid college program will not receive hourly pay for class participation but will instead commit to working seven shifts per month over 18 months following certification. This option provides flexibility for college students while still ensuring meaningful workforce participation and EMS experience, with the opportunity for their college-based tuition to be partially covered.
All participants in both program tracks will receive full program support, including tuition, books, uniforms, pre-employment screenings, background checks, and the first attempt at the National Registry exam at no cost.
The application deadline for the Summer 2026 EMT program is June 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
