Media Release from the Wapakoneta OSHP Post
(5-30-26) Wapakoneta – The Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred on May 30,2026, at approximately 12:51 p.m. in German Township, Auglaize County, Ohio. The crash occurred on State Route 274 at the intersection of State Route 364.

Martha C. Scheer (64) of Wapakoneta, was operating a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Jewell L. Good, (57) of Troy, was operating a 2020 BMW 430I. Robert F. Good (60) of Troy, was a passenger in the BMW.
The preliminary investigation indicates the Jeep was southbound on State Route 364 and the BMW was westbound on State Route 274. The Jeep failed to stop at the stop sign posted on State Route 364 and struck the BMW. Both vehicles then traveled off the south side of State Route 214 and came to rest in an agricultural field.
Scheer was wearing a safety belt. She sustained serious injuries and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight.
Jewell L. Good was wearing a safety belt. She sustained serious injuries and was transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital by Minster EMS. Robert F Good was wearing a safety belt. He sustained injuries and was transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital by New Bremen EMS.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit, New Bremen Fire Departmen, Auglaize County CERT, Tops Towing, and Tom’s Towing also responded to the crash.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
