(8-10-22) The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office announces the promotion of Detective Chad Fortkamp to the rank of Detective Sergeant.

Detective Sergeant Fortkamp began his law enforcement career at the Sheriff’s Office in 2001 as a Patrol Deputy and moved into the Detective position in 2012. Fortkamp has been instrumental in solving some of the most heinous crimes our county has seen. He has a readiness for learning and teaching, whether it is helping a fellow deputy or in the capacity of advisor for the Junior Deputy Program (formerly the Explorer Program).
