(8-8-22) The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office announced the promotion of Detective Sergeant Megan Baker to the rank of Captain.

Baker moves into the position after the promotion of Captain Doug Timmerman to Chief Deputy.

Captain Baker began her law enforcement career at the Sheriff’s Office as an Explorer in 2003. She started at the Sheriff’s Office in 2005 as a Deputy Sheriff and moved into the Detective Sergeant position in 2016. Megan is one of the most kind and generous people you will ever meet and on a daily basis she demonstrates our office motto:

“Caring, Courteous, Common Sense Law Enforcement”.
