(8-6-22) The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office announces the promotion of Captain Doug Timmerman to the rank of Chief Deputy.
Chief Deputy Timmerman began his law enforcement career here at the Sheriff’s Office in 1994 as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. He moved through the ranks throughout the years. Chief Deputy Timmerman has held severa positions including reserve deputy, patrol deputy, Detective Sergeant, Captain and now Chief Deputy.
Timmerman replaces Gery Thobe who recently retired.
