Adam C. Boeckman

(9-8-26) On September 4th, 2026, Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Adam C. Boeckman, (38) of Celina Ohio on Arcanum Bears Mill Road near US 36 following a joint investigation by Darke County Sheriff’s detectives and detectives from the Grand Lake Drug Task Force.

Boeckman was stopped by Darke County deputies for a speed violation on Arcanum Bears Mill Road near US36. A drug detecting K9 from Coldwater Police Department alerted deputies to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. A subsequent probable cause search was conducted where deputies located a baggie with approximately 51 grams of fentanyl.

Researchers have said that just 2 milligrams of fentanyl is enough for a lethal dose for one person. The amount seized by deputies in this incident could have the potential to kill 25,500 persons. Darke County’s population is estimated at 51,520.

Boeckman was incarcerated in the Darke County Jail pending his arraignment in Darke County Common Pleas Court on a charge of possession of drugs, a 1st degree felony. If convicted, Boeckman faces the possibility of 3 to 11 years in prison and a $20,000.00 fine.

Sheriff Whittaker extends his thanks to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the Grand Lake Drug Task Force, Celina Police Department, and Coldwater Police Department for their efforts in this collaboration to help keep these illicit narcotics off the streets.
