(7-7-26) The New Knoxville Board of Education would like to announce the hiring of Mark Platfoot as the new Superintendent of New Knoxville School.

In May of 2022 Platfoot, a Jackson Center native, was named the 6th-12th Grade Principal at New Knoxville. Platfoot received his bachelors degree at The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in Leadership at the American College of Education. He began his teaching career with two years at a Columbus charter school, three years at a Dayton charter school, and seven years at Hardin-Houston school district as a social studies teacher and varsity basketball coach.
