The suspect in the homicides of Romelo Blackman and John Dyes on April 22, 2023, at 438 W. Mckibben St, Lima was identified as Kenyatta Washington, 26 years old of Lima. On April 24, 2023, an arrest warrant was issued for Kenyatta for the charge of murder. With the assistance of law enforcement in Louisiana, Kenyatta was located and arrested late this evening in Louisiana.

(4-23-23) On Saturday, April 22, 2023, shortly after 11:00 PM, Lima Police Department officers responded to 438 W. McKibben St, Lima in reference to a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered that Romelo Blackman (28) of Lima, and John Dyes (18) of Lima, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
