(3-22-23) Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in a high speed pursuit on I-75 through four counties (Shelby, Auglaize, Allen, and Hancock Counties) at around 8pmTuesday Evening. Sidney Police, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol all were involved in the pursuit.

The initial chase was initiated near Sidney, speeds would reach up to 120 miles an hour.

Stop sticks were used…but the vehicle (a rental out of Alabama) would continue on its rims…the vehicle finally would stop near the 145 mile marker in Hancock County.

The driver was caught near the car while the passenger jumped a nearby fence and ran off into the woods. Thanks to an Ohio State Highway Patrol helicopter, with assistance by a K9, he was captured.
