(2-20-23) Auditions for “Ghost, the Musical” will be held on Sunday, February 26 and Monday, February 27, 2023 at 7 p.m. at 118 South Race Street in Van Wert, Ohio. Director Chad Kraner, Music Director Dee Fisher, and Choreographer Kim Pollock need a large cast with ages ranging from high school to beyond.
Adapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter, Bruce Joel Rubin, “Ghost, the Musical” follows Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. The bond of love transcends the boundaries of life itself to grow stronger and more fully realized. Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death. “Ghost, the Musical” is a poignant romance that builds comedy, suspense, and deeply felt emotion to an ethereal climax that audiences will never forget. Those auditioning should bring a short (90 second) prepared song that showcases your vocal range and abilities. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Come dressed to move as you will be asked to do a few dance moves during auditions. Performances are May 4, 5, 6, 7*, 11, 12, 13, 14*, 2023 at 8 PM or 2 PM*.
