(6-8-22) NBC 10 News has just been honored with a New England Emmy Award for its coverage of Tropical Storm Henri with anchors (Holly) Patrice Wood, a native of Rockford, Ohio, and Dan Jaehnig.

WJAR-TV in Cranston, Rhode Island won in the category of Outstanding Evening Newscast for its coverage of the aftermath and cleanup of Henri on NBC10, WJAR.

Tropical Storm Henri made landfall twice in Rhode Island with wind, rain and surge in August 2021.
The awards are given annually by the Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Holly Patrice Wood, a graduate of Parkway High School in Rockford, Ohio and Bowling Green State University, has been a reporter and anchor at WJAR-TV for 42 years and has earned numerous professional and personal accolades including Emmy Awards, the Congressional Angels in Adoption Award, induction into the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame and Rhode Island Broadcasters Hall of Fame and has regularly been voted Best Female Anchor by Rhode Island Monthly Magazine. She currently anchors the 5pm, 6pm and 11pm weekday newscasts.
Wood is the daughter of the late Duane Wood and Jinny Wood and the sister of Sheila Baltzell-Linn of Celina, Ohio and Colleen O’Steen of Huntsville, Alabama. She and her husband, Paul Pabis, have two grown children, Jonathan and Stephanie.
