For over 44 years 96.7 has been known as WCSM 96.7 FM, what a run it was! With new ownership comes, changes, the entire team here at WCSM Radio wants to continue moving forward and providing the best radio product in our Grand Lake Region. With that, a name change that best describes who we are. INTRODUCING 96.7 The Wave!!!!! The Wave name is 3 fold, 1. We will continue to bring you waves of news and information as we have always done, 2. We will continue to bring you waves of sports coverage as well, and 3, waves of agriculture news. With our new Lake 100.3 Hot Country station, using Lake as a nod to Grand Lake, we thought the name The Wave was fitting for 96.7. A new name but still the quality product you expect! 96.7 The Wave, Where we will continue to do it for you!

In October the announcement of the sale of WCSM to local owners were announced.

Buzzard Media owned by Brent and Danielle Selhorst of Coldwater, Ohio are the new owners. Brent has been WCSM’s Program Director for the past 8 years. John Coe, who sold Hayco Broadcasting Incorporated, ran the local outlet since 1977. The sale also included WCSM AM and Lake 100.3FM.
