(1-5-22) Throughout the basketball season, the Fort Recovery Academic Boosters will recognize seven deserving students for their commitment to excellence beyond the athletic playing surface.

Last night, the Fort Recovery Local Schools and the Fort Recovery Academic Boosters recognized senior, MaKenna Laux for her dedication to leadership and academics.

MaKenna was chosen for this award by the Art and Publications Department for her outstanding performance in the classroom.

If you are ever looking for Makenna, the first place you may want to look is the Art room.  Often times, she can be found there putting extra time into her projects or helping other students with theirs.  She loves creating artwork, and it is evident that it is her passion in life from her effort and results.  Outside of the classroom, MaKenna is an active member of the Drama Club, Art Club, was a football cheerleader and attands Tri Star’s Graphic Design program.  MaKenna is the daughter of Jared and Heidi Laux. Upon graduation, MaKenna plans to pursue a job in Graphic Design.

For being chosen for this award, MaKenna will receive an Academic Booster plaque, as well as $20 in gift certificates donated by the Fort Recovery Merchants Association and the Academic Booster Club.  We are proud of MaKenna for the choices and character she displays on a daily basis.

Fort Recovery Schools would like to thank the Academic Booster Club for sponsoring these awards. See less
