
(5-4-21) After several attempts the Celina City Schools passed a levy that will have major building impact and changes that will reshape the district.

Unofficial results show that 51.69% voted for the levy, while 48.31% voted against it (1,744-1,630). The vote received a lot of attention during the campaign with what the exact cost would be to voters.

Two other levy votes also were approved.
The Parkway School renewal levy passed in Mercer County 132-61, while the Southern Mercer County Joint Ambulance District levy passed 484-32.
New buildings does NOT make for better schools.
