(3-5-18) Auglaize County Sheriff Solomon released the details of a traffic stop that Auglaize County Sheriff’s Deputies made Friday afternoon. A traffic stop was made for a traffic violation and during the investigation, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit responded to the stop. The K-9 was alerted to the vehicle and a search was conducted and the deputies located suspected drug and drug paraphernalia. The drugs involved are suspected methamphetamine. There were three occupants in the vehicle and two were arrested on drug possession charges. The 3rd male was later released at the scene but is still being investigated for future charges. The two subjects arrested were:
- Cory D. Gross – 35 year old Montezuma resident
- Alyssa R. Ridder – 23 year old Mendon resident
In addition to Auglaize County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, the Auglaize/Mercer County Grand Lake Drug Task Force was called in to assist. The traffic stop remains under investigation as further charges are being considered.
