MINSTER, Ohio — Garmann Miller earned three Pinnacle Awards at the Society for Marketing Professional Services Heartland Regional Conference, held Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Cincinnati. The firm received first-place honors in Promotional Campaign and Client Experience Initiatives, along with second place in the Community Impact & Outreach category.

.. said GM Marketing Director Doug Rentz, CPSM, who accepted the awards on behalf of the firm.

Approximately 350 professionals representing more than 150 organizations attended the three-day conference.

Each honor recognized “Garmann Miller Plays It Forward,” an interactive trade show experience developed for the Ohio and Indiana school boards association conferences. The campaign combined creative booth design, multimedia communications, and an engaging high-low card game to connect with attendees while giving back to communities.

A philanthropic element added to attendee engagement, with GM donating a pair of new socks for every participant. With an additional sock drive at GM offices, the campaign collected more than 550 new pairs of socks for Hannah’s Socks, a Woodville, Ohio-based nonprofit.

The campaign also received national recognition in 2025, earning the SMPS M Award of Excellence for Trade Show Marketing at the organization’s annual MCA Awards.

The HRC Pinnacle Awards were presented by Pamela Roebel, conference co-chair. The biennial competition celebrates outstanding marketing, communication, and business development efforts throughout SMPS’s six-state Heartland region.
