(9-24-26) An early morning rescue from a Premier Garbage truck took place at the Van Wert Early Childhood Center, 1120 Buckeye Drive Wednesday morning when an unidentified man who was sleeping in a dumpster was unknowingly dumped into a garbage truck.

The man got the driverโs attention when he noticed trash coming out of his truck.
The Van Wert Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene where a ladder truck extended it ladder over the top of the truck and rigged a lift system to lower personnel down into the inside of the truck.
The man was lifted out of the truck and taken to OhioHealth in Van Wert to be checked out. He was not injured.
The investigation continues on the details of the incident.
