(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – State Representative Angie King (R-Celina) today recognized Jasmine Brown, a District 84 high school student whose artwork was selected to be included in the House of Representatives High School Student Art Exhibition. 

King said-

“Every time I walk through the hallway, connecting the Vern Riffe Center to the Ohio Statehouse, seeing Jasmine’s artwork on display brings a special sense of pride. It’s a wonderful reminder of the talented young people we have in our district and the creativity they bring to our communities. I’m proud that Jasmine’s work has a place here at the Statehouse for people from across Ohio to see and enjoy.

This biennial art exhibition showcases the creativity and talent of high school students from all 99 House districts and is on display in the hallway connecting the Vern Riffe Center and the Ohio Statehouse.

The House High School Student Art Exhibition was established in 2016 under the 131st General Assembly. High school art teachers from across the state are invited to submit their students’ art for consideration by the Ohio Arts Council, which helps select pieces featured in the exhibition and works in partnership with the Ohio Art Education Association on the project.
