A Look Back….Celina High School

(8-20-26) Sometime in January (2027) the new Celina High School will be ready to house students.

It will replace the current building that was opened in 1964. For many years it was Celina Senior High, but over the past several years it reverted back to Celina High.

Over the years it would see several updates, including the early years of Tri Star.

In 1923 the West School on Wayne Street (which is where Bethany Church is now located) that housed the high school students had an order on it that would prohibit use of the building in the future.

Over 100 old it has served the district in many different ways.

Currently it is the administration building. It also has the original gym that has been used for the stage area and in the past even hosted the Miss Lake Festival.

The gym was not a full seize basketball court, but was used by the Bulldogs until the Fieldhouse was constructed in 1939. November The football stadium was constructed in 1941.
