Narcotics Arrest 7-28-2026
On July 28, 2026, officers with the Greenville Police Department conducted an investigation and came into contact with a vehicle operated by Raymond Perkins (51) of Greenville.
During the encounter, a K-9 unit from the Union City Police Department responded to assist. The K-9 conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and positively alerted to the presence of narcotics.
As officers continued their investigation, Perkins attempted to interfere with their efforts and was subsequently placed under arrest. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of more than 70 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Perkins was transported to the Darke County Jail and incarcerated on charges of:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), a Felony of the Second Degree
- Obstructing Official Business, a Misdemeanor of the Second Degree
