PRESS RELEASE
On June 15, 2026 at approximately 4:05 p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Office along with Arcanum Police, Arcanum Fire and Rescue, Pitsburg Fire, Greenville Township Rescue, North Central Rescue, CareFlight and MedFlight, responded to the area of State Route 49 and Gordon Landis Road for a multi vehicle crash with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed a blue Dodge Challenger driven by Marie Pintar, 63, of Dayton, was traveling northwest on State Route 49 and drove left-of-center for an unknown reason, colliding with a southeast semi-trailer of a white Freightliner driven by Sukhdeep Singh, 33, of Greenwood, IN. The Dodge Challenger then struck head-on into a maroon Honda CRV, driven by Sentio Normil 33, of Springfield, OH. Two of the semi-trailer tires came off the trailer and one of the tires struck a white GMC Savana work van head-on which was traveling northwest, driven by Galvin Strait 56, of Greenville.
The driver of the semi and van were uninjured. Two of the adult passengers of the Honda CRV were transported to Miami Valley Hospital aboard CareFlight and MedFlight, and the other three adult passengers of this vehicle were transported to Wayne HealthCare. The driver of the Dodge Challenger was also flown to Miami Valley Hospital aboard CareFlight.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement also assisted with the investigation. This crash remains under investigation.
