(4-29-26) We are grateful and blessed to share the many changes that God has been working on at Mercer County House of Hope over the past several months.
First, we are honored to introduce our new Executive Director, Roberta Bonifas. Roberta comes with a servant’s heart, a strong faith, and a deep calling to walk alongside those on their recovery journey. She resides in Celina with her husband, Cody, and together they are raising a wonderful family, with their children.

Rest. Recovery. Reflection. Study.
House of Hope is a faith-based recovery program for those struggling with addiction in Mercer County.
With two recovery homes available to Mercer County, residents sign an agreement to participate in an 8-month long program (can be up to 18 months). Throughout the program, residents are put through a five-phase program, monitored by a professional. Each phase has different requirements and privileges, such as: getting a job, planning a budget, paying off court and attorney fees, opening a savings account and developing a workable exit plan.

In both the men’s and women’s houses, residents are responsible for taking care of the facility they live in, as well as learning personal responsibility for themselves.
Roberta feels led to focus on strengthening recovery housing here in Mercer County while building deeper connections between our residents and the community. She believes wholeheartedly that through faith, support, and unity, lives can be restored and purpose can be renewed.
Her vision is to ensure that every resident not only feels supported, but knows they are never alone—that God has a plan for their lives, and that healing and transformation are possible. She is excited to grow in faith alongside the residents, learning, walking, and trusting in God’s guidance every step of the way.
We are truly thankful for what God is doing in both the women and men’s houses and look forward to the continued growth, healing, and restoration ahead.
