PRESS RELEASE

On April 16, 2026 at approximately 9:36 a.m. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue and Greenville City Fire, responded to the 3100 block of State Route 571 for a one-vehicle crash with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed a silver Toyota Camry, driven by Barry Head 62, of Union City OH., along with front passenger Tara Bailey 39, of Greenville, was traveling northwest on State Route 571 and was in the process of passing the vehicle in front of them, when another vehicle was traveling towards them. Head swerved to get back in his lane of travel and lost control of his vehicle, traveling off the right side of the roadway colliding with a mailbox and knocking over a utility pole.

Both driver and passenger were transported to Wayne HealthCare for suspected minor injuries.
