(4-4-25) Shortly after 1 p.m. Friday, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Officers responded to a crash northbound on I-69 near the 337 mile marker, near the County Road 10 overpass.

The driver told DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department Officers that he was eating a McDonald’s cheeseburger and looked down to find the last part of his burger in the wrapper when the vehicle drifted into the right lane. The front passenger side of the car collided with the rear driver side of a semi-trailer, causing the driver to lose control and hit a guard rail.

The semi-trailer continued on its way and was unaware of the crash.
Following the crash, the driver of the vehicle told officers –
“he’s had better burgers”
The crash report said the cheeseburger had no mustard, no ketchup, no onions and was light on the pickles .
