(3-8-23) Mercer County Educational Service Center Superintendent Shelly Vaughn is assisting in the search for a new Fort Recovery Local Schools superintendent.

The following information has been released by Vaughn…14 applicants for the position and the board is currently conducting initial interviews. 

The following candidates are participating in first round interviews with the Ft. Recovery Board of Education–

Endsley, Pequigont and Stahl

  • Cindy Endsley, Superintendent at Spencerville
  • Cathy Trevathan, High School Principal at Little Miami
  • Jeremy Pequigont, Superintendent at Franklin Monroe
  • Stephanie Klingshirn, Elementary Principal at Sidney City Schools
  • Tony Stahl, High School Principal at Fort Recovery Local Schools

Klingshirn and Trevathan

Two of the applicants currently are superintendents in other Ohio districts, the other three are principals, including Ft. Recovery High School Principal Tony Stahl.

In January current Superintendent Larry Brown, who has been with the system for four years, announced hisimpending retirement.
