CELINA (12-9-21) – The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) has seen a recent increase in questions regarding COVID-19 testing. There are several options in the area to meet COVID-19 testing needs. The MCHD does not offer COVID-19 testing. Individuals in need of a COVID-19 test should contact one of the following locations:

  • Mercer Health – Located at 115 Summit St., Celina, OH 45822. This testing site offers PCR testing. Test results are typically available within 24 hours. Appointments are required for this testing location. Individuals should contact their primary care provider to obtain an order for a COVID-19 test at this location. If an individual does not have a primary care provider, they should call (419) 678-5395 for further direction.
  • Walk-In Urgent Care – Located at 1321 Bellefontaine St. #100, Wapakoneta, OH 45895. This testing site offers rapid testing. Test results typically result within 15 minutes to an hour. A doctor’s order is not required for this testing location. To make an appointment, please call (567) 356-4054. Please note, a rapid or antigen test is typically not acceptable for travel requirements. Check with your airline or travel destination for testing information and requirements.
  • CVS Pharmacy – Located at 1101 Bellefontaine St., Wapakoneta, OH 45895. This testing site offers PCR testing. Test results typically are typically available within 24 to 48 hours.   • Mercer County District Library locations: Celina, Marion, Mendon, and St. Henry.  At-home, rapid test kits are available through the Mercer County District Library. These test kits are free of charge and are available by curbside pickup only. Please call (567) 510-5441 upon arrival and someone will bring the test kit to your car. For more information, please call (419) 586-4442. At-home test kits are typically not acceptable for travel requirements. Please note, the Fort Recovery Public Library is not part of the Mercer County District Library system and does not distribute test kits.
  • Most local pharmacies and Walmart have at-home test kits for purchase. At-home test kits are typically not acceptable for travel requirements. Please note, availability of at-home test kits may fluctuate based on demand.
