(7-22-21) On July 21st, 2021 at approximately 11:51 a.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Arcanum Rescue, Pitsburg Fire Department, mutual aid from Arcanum Fire Department, and Care Flight responded to the 2000 block of State Route 49 on an injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Tan 2013 Ford Edge, driven by Amber Hoskins (33), of Greenville, was traveling southeast on State Route 49, Hoskins’s vehicle traveled over the center line. A black 2006 Buick Rendezvous, driven by Pamela Penticuff (51), of Greenville, was traveling northwest on State Route 49. Penticuff traveled off the right side of the roadway in an attempt to avoid the collision, but her vehicle was side-swiped. A black 2015 Chevy Equinox, driven by Brittany Voke (33), of Greenville, was also traveling northwest on State Route 49. Voke traveled off the right side of the roadway to avoid the collision and struck a trashcan. Hoskins vehicle continued in the wrong lane of travel and struck a semi head-on.
Hoskins was extricated from her vehicle by mechanical means and then transported to Miami Valley Hospital by Care Flight where she is listed in stable condition.
This accident remains under investigation.
