(8-2-20) As of August 2, 2020, the Mercer County Health District (MCHD) reports 523 confirmed cases, 14 probable cases, 387 recovered cases, 96 pending cases, 2,132 negative cases, 7 hospitalizations, 12 deaths, and 1 probable death of COVID-19. Currently, there are 123 active cases of COVID-19 in Mercer County.

The MCHD reports 10 new confirmed COVID 19 cases –

  • 514th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 50-60 years.
  • 515th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 40-50 years.
  • 516th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 50-60 years.
  • 517th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 60-70 years.
  • 518th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 70-80 years.
  • 519th confirmed case is a female in the age range of 60-70 years.
  • 520th confirmed case is a female in the age range of 70-80 years.
  • 521st confirmed case is a male in the age range of 70-80 years.
  • 522nd confirmed case is a male in the age range of 40-50 years.
  • 523rd confirmed case is a female in the age range of 60-70 years.

All of these individuals are self-isolating at home.

On Friday, July 31, 2020, Governor DeWine signed an executive order that bans the sale of alcohol at liquor-permitted establishments after 10 p.m. The ruling states that these types of establishments, including bars and restaurants, can sell alcohol up until 10 p.m., and consumption of alcohol must end by 11 p.m. The order can be found here: https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/OHOOD/2020/07/31/file_attachments/1508882/Signed%20Executive%20Order%202020-30D.pdf
