(5-9-20) The Coldwater Schools Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12th. Among those items (see above) being discussed is to continue paying staff during the pandemic. The second item is paying all Spring Supplemental contracts of coaches.
Due to the ‘Stay at Home Order’ by Governor Mike DeWine…teachers are still working and doing preparation for at-home studies for students. All spring sports were cancelled and no games or meets were held, most of these sports had already been doing conditioning in preparation for the 2020 season.
According to the agenda these issues will be discussed in executive session by the board.
One concern for Coldwater BOE members is the drastic last minute budget cuts enacted by Governor DeWine, education was hit hard. Coldwater will have to delete $229,453 from this year’s budget due to the cut.
