(May 8, 2020) The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) reports that six new COVID 19 cases have been confirmed. One of those has been hospitalized.

  • 60th case is a female in the age range of 20-30 years and is self-isolating at home.
  • 61st case is a female in the age range of 50-60 years and is self-isolating at home.
  • 62nd case is a female in the age range of 50-60 years and is self-isolating at home.
  • 63rd case is a female in the age range of 60-70 years and is self-isolating at home.
  • 64th case is a hospitalized male in the age range of 50-60 years.
  • 65th case is a male in the age range of 50-60 years and is self-isolating at home.

MCHD  reports there have been 65 confirmed cases, 14 recovered cases, 61 pending cases, 305 negative cases, 5 hospitalizations, and 1 death of COVID-19.

As  pending numbers continue to climb, MCHD continues to hear rumors that the testing capacity has increased within the county. COVID-19 testing has not been opened up to everyone in the community. Mercer County is seeing an increase in the number of individuals who are sick and need COVID-19 testing.

MCHD is continuing to examine all data we are receiving to determine common exposures and we will continue to share information as it becomes available.

The Auglaize County Health Department (ACHD), reports 39 confirmed cases and 3 probable cases, 8 hospitalizations, 19 recovered cases, and 3 deaths of COVID-19.

  • 39th case is a 30 year-old female.
  • 40th case is an 86 year-old female.
  • 41st case is a 24 year-old female.
  • 42nd case is a 34 year-old female..
