Celina, Ohio – (11/4/19) ____ The Health Care Fund of the Mercer County Civic Foundation recently donated $300,000.00 to the Wright State University Lake Campus for its Extension Building Project. The donation was made in support of the nursing program at Lake Campus. Two-thirds of the expanded space in Andrews Hall houses the Nursing Simulation Resource Center, which has tripled the space available to nursing students. The Health Care Fund was the lead donor on the extension project.

John Irmscher, Chair of the Health Care Fund, said,

“Lake Campus and its nursing program are assets for the community. “Nursing students can go to school locally and then work in Mercer County.”

Since it was founded in 1979, the Health Care Fund has donated more than $1 Million to support medical care and related projects in the Mercer County area. Anyone wishing to support the Health Care Fund should contact Carol Hone at the Mercer County Civic Foundation, (419) 586-9950.
