Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene of a possible disabled motor vehicle in the road Sunday morning just after 6 am on South Wayne Street near East Center Street in Fort Recovery. The Deputies talked the occupants and searched the vehicle.
After the search Hug was arrested for suspicion of OVI-under the influence (1st degree misdemeanor) and Ausland was arrested for suspicion of drug related physical control (5th degree felony) along with possession of methamphetamine. Other drug paraphernalia and a small amount of Marijuana were also recovered.
Both were taken to the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility, Ausland is being held on $100,000 (10%) bond and Hug is being held on $50,000 (10%) bond.
