(9-30-19) A lawsuit was filed on September 27th in Mercer County Probate Court by the City of Celina against the First Financial Bank. Citing concerns that the management of the Bryson Trust fund no longer involves a local person, and is presently under the control of First Financial Bank’s Cincinnati office. The City is seeking to merge the trust and transfer all of its assets to a public charity and to terminate the trust and remove the trustee.
According to the filing the City contacted First Financial in March of this year.
On May 15th, First Financial responded to the City –
City Council authorized the City Law Director to file the lawsuit at a September 9th council meeting.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, who is a defendant in the lawsuit, is supporting the city’s position in the lawsuit. Below is from the filing-
