The first group of performers includes,  2018 American Idol contestant Julia Cole (video above) Nashville-based Brian Sutherland and Texas native Kristen Kelly.

(8-31-19) Starting September 2nd, WDTN TV, Dayton and WANE TV, Ft. Wayne will be among 171 Nexstar stations across the country that will be restoring this long-held tradition that will start their daily broadcast day with the playing of the  United States National Anthem. The national anthem will be played right before 2 NEWS Today begins, at 3:59 am., every day on WDTN, while WANE will air every morning at 4 am.

The anthem will feature emerging artists who will record their own unique versions of the Star-Spangled Banner at Belmont University’s Ocean Way Studios.
