(6-5-19) Last night officers with the Decatur (Indiana) Police Department and Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call at Woodcrest retirement village in reference to three deer that had jumped thru a window into a residents apartment.
Upon arrival officers quickly discovered that a resident still sitting on her couch with one of the deer jumping back and forth across her and around the living room. Deputy Kukelhan entered the apartment and laid across the elderly occupant, shielding her from certain injury until Corporal Patrick Piper and Officer Reid Arnold were able to assist the resident out of the apartment.
The deer were then removed one at a time. Two deer had to be tranquilized and helped off the property.
