(9-7-18) AJ Robert Piper (27) of Celina is being held in jail with a $50,000 bond after a series of events which led to several serious charges.

On Tuesday September 4th, A.J. Piper used his vehicle to stop the vehicle that his ex-girlfriend, Carolynn Dennis, was driving in the area of Sugar St and Blake.  Once stopped, Piper did argue with Dennis and punch the driver’s door of her vehicle.  He then fled the area.

On Wednesday September 5th, A.J. Piper did go to Dennis’s residence in Celina and beat on the doors and windows.  Once he saw her mother, he fled the scene

On Thursday September 6th, Piper and Dennis were observed arguing in the 400 block of N Walnut St.  As Dennis drove away, several witnesses stated that Piper used his pickup truck and rammed the rear of the car being operated by Dennis in which their 1 yr old child was a passenger.  No injuries were reported.

Piper is being held at the Mercer County Adult Detention Facilty of charges of Domestic Violence, Endangering Children, Menacing by Stalking and Criminal Damaging.  These are all 1st degree misdemeanors.  The case is being reviewed by the Mercer County Prosecutor Matthew K. Fox for filing of additional felony charges.
