(8-28-18) Mayor Hazel reviewed the status of the Bryson Park District project at a recent Celina Kiwanis meeting. After the Lake Festival, construction began on the amphitheater. This facility will seat 1500 with room to double that number in the open space nearby. Mercer Health has plans to fund a basic fitness trail for running and walking with fitness equipment available. Other attractions will include a splash pad and possibly a Frisbee golf course. The park’s facilities will be accessible to all visitors in accordance with current regulations. To follow stipulations in the Bryson Trust, power lines will be buried to avoid obstructing the view of the lake. Hazel also said Lakeshore Drive will be rerouted behind the hot water hole to permit increased boat traffic and create a safe walking path around the park. The Mayor finished his presentation with a brief question and answer session.
