(1-9-18) The owner of Ergo Desktop in Celina, Kathy Sharkey, recently deposited $200,000 into an account via the Mercer County Civic Foundation to help in the construction of a new splash pad at the new Bryson Park District.
Sharkey ‘s donation is in honor of her late husband, Daniel J. Sharkey (who invented the stand-up desks), who died in Janaury of 2015, after a battle with cancer. Ergo Desk’s main item is the “The Kangaroo“, an adjustable-height, sit-to-stand desk that is sold around the world.
The 2,827-square-foot splash pad, will be located on the former mobile park ground within the Bryson Park District and located behind the planned Harley Jones Rotary Memorial Amphitheater facing the lake side.
