(12-13-17) – The Celina Kiwanis ushered in the Christmas season with its 15th annual Reindog Pancake Breakfast and Parade. Assisting the members with the event were the following: Ralph Schmit, Layla Irmscher, Gadge Redman, Nevaeh Peters, Kelly May, Sara Stewart, Arrianna and Nancy Shinn, and students from the En Pointe Dance Studio. Grand Lake United Methodist Church—St Paul’s campus opened its facilities for the breakfast, and Building Manager Mark Armstrong helped the club set up and run the event. In the parade Russ Hagar chauffeured Santa to his home on the courthouse lawn. The Kiwanis Club of Celina thanks everyone who helped make this year’s event successful.
After the parade the winners of the coloring contest were announced. The first place winners, Aubre Watercutter and Brenna Korte, received bikes. The second place winners, Livi Hardesty and Whitney Kennedy, received scooters. In other club news, two people split the winnings from the club’s OSU/Michigan 50/50 drawing. Both Jen Smith and Wayne Goodwin guessed the correct scores for the November 25 game.
