Top 100 Schools In Ohio

(10-12-17) – cleveland.com ranked the Top 100 Public High Schools in Ohio based on the Performance Index reported by the Ohio Department of Education. The measure is of how highly students score on a series of tests that determines the index.

The # 1 school in Ohio was Oakwood High School with a Performance Index of 110.458.

Four Mercer County schools made the rankings. Marion Local with a 105.78 index makes the Top 10 at #7, #32 is St. Henry, #64 Coldwater and #78 Ft. Recovery.

All four schools are a part of the Midwest Athletic Conference, they are joined by three other member schools, Minster is #29, Versailles #34 and New Knoxville is #76.

The Western Buckeye League, which Celina competes in for athletics, had two high schools on the list, Shawnee was the highest ranked at #66, while Ottawa-Glandorf was #73,

  • No. 64 – Coldwater High School – Performance Index: 97.262

  • No. 29 – Minster Jr/Sr High School – Performance Index: 101.203
  • No. 34 – Versailles High School – Performance Index: 100.657
