New counseling practice offers relationship-focused therapy for children, adults, couples, and families

CELINA, Ohio – Brittany Green, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, will open her private practice, Brittany Green Therapy, on November 13 at 110 ½ W. Market Street, Suite 204A, in downtown Celina.

Green will provide counseling for children ages 8 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a particular focus on relationships and how they influence emotional well-being.

Green said-

“One of the biggest reasons I wanted to open my own practice was to make therapy more accessible in our community. Having a local, in-person office was important to me, but so was being able to offer more affordable options. I know the cost of counseling can be a barrier for people, so I offer sliding-scale fees and reduced-cost therapy to help make that support more attainable.”

Although Green specializes in relationships, she explains that relationship therapy goes beyond working with couples.

Green said-

“When people hear that I’m a marriage and family therapist, they sometimes assume I only see married couples or families,” Green said. “But relationships are part of everyone’s life. For a child, that might mean adjusting to changes at home or navigating friendships. For an adult, it could be setting boundaries, dealing with family conflict, or understanding why certain patterns keep showing up in their relationships. And for couples, it might be improving communication, rebuilding trust, or feeling connected again.”

Green’s approach looks at the bigger picture of a person’s life, including family experiences, relationships, and the ways people learn to communicate and connect with others.

She earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and has pursued additional training in couples counseling, narcissistic abuse treatment, and somatic approaches to healing.

Green describes her style as warm, conversational, and collaborative. She believes therapy should feel like a place where people can be themselves, ask questions, and work through challenges without feeling pressured to have everything figured out.

Green said-

“I want people to know they don’t have to come into therapy knowing exactly what to say. We spend time getting to know each other, talking about what’s going on, and figuring out what would be helpful. Sometimes that includes learning new skills, and other times it’s about understanding yourself or your relationships a little differently.”

Green hopes her practice will provide another option for couples, individuals, and families throughout Mercer County and surrounding communities who are looking for counseling close to home.

Brittany Green Therapy will offer in-person appointments in downtown Celina and telehealth appointments throughout Ohio. Sliding-scale and reduced-cost services are available, with clients encouraged to contact the practice to learn more about fees and availability.
