Crash Investigation
On October 2, 2026, at approximately 1:38 a.m., Darke County Deputies along with North Star Fire Department and Osgood EMS responded to the area of North Star Fort Loramie Road and Rismiller Road, regarding a single-vehicle rollover crash.
Investigation revealed a black 2015 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Syenna Purdin (19) of Greenville, Ohio was traveling westbound on North Star Fort Loramie Road. Ms. Purdin failed to maintain control of her vehicle, traveling off the right side of the roadway before striking a culvert. Purdin continued off the road before striking a large pile of rocks, causing her to return to the roadway and the vehicle to overturn onto its top.
Purdin and her front seat passenger, Makenna Guillozet (20) of Versailles, Ohio were treated on scene by Osgood EMS and refused further treatment.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
