(9-2-26)Last night, Brody Reigle was able to officially “hand over the keys” to Mayor Ron Searight for the newly opened pond pavilion at Shanes Park.

Brody recently completed his Board of Review for the rank of Eagle Scout, and the pavilion served as his Eagle Scout service project. This incredible project was made possible through the generosity of our local community.

Brody raised more than $33,000 to cover the cost of materials and coordinated more than 840 volunteer hours of labor to bring the pavilion to completion.
This is a wonderful addition to Shanes Park and the Rockford community—and an especially meaningful one for the Reigle family. The pavilion marks the second generation and third project from the family to benefit Shanes Park and the Rockford community.
Congratulations, Brody, on an outstanding accomplishment! Your leadership, dedication, and commitment to our community is truly something to be proud of.
