(8-11-26) The Wapakoneta Eagles is proud to announce the results of the National God, Flag, and Country speech competition held this past weekend in Dallas, Texas.

In the 10-11 age group Jordan Stiles of New Knoxville took 3rd place overall. In the 12-13 age group Evelyn Oen of Wapakoneta took 2nd place overall. In the 14-15 age group Phebe Vergara of New Knoxville took 1st place overall.

The students all received trophies (shown in the photo), cash and prizes.

This is the first time the Wapakoneta Eagles has had a participant in each age group win all of the competitions at the local, district, zone, and State levels and all go on to Nationals. It is also the first time that all three participants placed at the National level.
