Maria Stein, Ohio – On July 14th, the Zahn-Marion Township Library completed its 2026 summer reading program, “Unearth a Story” with a party to celebrate, held at the Edge sports complex in Maria Stein.

The top two readers in grades one through five were announced at the party.

They are —

first-grade – Gabe Redd with 1,520 points and a tie between Layla Albers and Sophia Albers both with 1,200

second grade – Louis Otte with 2,790 points and John Cron with 2,120 points


third-grade – Audrey Koesters with 3,560 points and Kenzie Moeder with 2,160 points

fourth-grade – Liv Wolters with 4,700 points and Chloe Luebke with 3, 190 points

fifth-grade – Isaac Redd with 3, 920 points and Madi Hess with 3,620 points.  The top readers each received an “Unearth a Story”
t-shirt for their accomplishment.

Entertainment at the party was provided by Matt Jergens, comedy juggler.

The program concluded with prizes, awards and certificates for all the summer reading participants.  Everyone was congratulated for
all their hard work.

The library would like to thank the Chickasaw
Fire Department for providing fire truck rides to children going into grades 1 thru 5 that reached 400 points or more, the Marion Township
Trustees for allowing us to put a scavenger hunt along the bike path again this year, the Edge sports complex for the use of their facility and
everyone who participated in our program this year.
