
(7-1-26) Mercer County Treasurer Dave Wolters will retire effective January 8, 2027, bringing nearly a decade of service in the county’s top financial office to a close.
Wolters began serving as county treasurer in September 2017, has overseen one of the county’s busiest offices, managing a large number of property parcels and the county’s financial investment portfolio.
County officials will begin the process of filling the position in the coming months.
The Mercer County Commissioners are expected to make a temporary appointment to serve as treasurer. The Mercer County Republican Central Committee will later appoint someone to complete the remainder of the current term, which runs through the end of August 2029.
